Position Available

Clinical Psychologist
Minds & Hearts is growing and there exists an excellent opportunity for a clinical psychologist to work within the team. One position is available in our Gold Coast clinic. The successful applicant would conduct assessment (psychometric, behavioural, and emotional), and therapy (individual, group, couple and family).

Most clinical work would be conducted on site, with an occasional need for home, school or workplace visits. Clientele would include children, adolescents, and adults who have been diagnosed with a pervasive developmental disorder; and their families, including partners, parents, grandparents, and siblings. Caseworkers and teachers/teacher’s aides are often seen in the clinic. There is frequently a need to provide oral and written communication to families, schools, medical practitioners, allied health practitioners, and staff at agencies who work with the individual or family, e.g. Dept of Disability Services.

The successful applicant would become part of the team at Minds & Hearts, and would receive ongoing support and training.  Group supervision is provided on a weekly basis, and individual supervision as often as needed. Ongoing professional development is provided through training in the clinic.

The successful applicant will be a reliable, enthusiastic, and friendly person, who has a deep commitment to individuals and families affected by disability, and to excellence in their own practice, including ongoing professional development.
